Player Drop Off and Pick Up Policy

For the safety of our players, the following must be adhered to by parents/caregivers:

•  Some of our schools use school hosts and are not responsible for the supervision of players at any time.

Jr NBA

• Players must have a parent, or previously designated adult caregiver come into the gym for drop-off and pick-up.
• Parents must stay in the gym until the coach arrives to take over supervisory duties.

Players must remain inside the gym until a parent arrives to pick them up.

•  If a player chooses to exit the building and wait outside, an assistant coach must also wait outside with the player. If an assistant coach is not available, the coach will attempt to contact the parents immediately and inform them of the situation.
•  Players leaving the school without coach permission may be subject to disciplinary action at the discretion of the Board, which may include suspension.
• Coaches will remain in the gym until all players are picked up.
• Players must be picked up within 15 minutes of the end of practice. Please be respectful of coaches time and that they must stay until all players are picked up by arriving prior to the scheduled end of practice.
• If a player is not picked up within 15 minutes of the end of practice, the coach will contact the President to address the issue with parents.

U11 to U18

We suggest that parents accompany their player into the gym until a coach arrives to take over supervisory duties.

•  If players are not supervised and take part in activities that are disrespectful to the facilities, school hosts or other players and parents prior to coach arrival the player will be subject to disciplinary action at the discretion of the Board, which may include suspension.
•  If players are being picked up, we ask that their ride arrives prior to the scheduled end of practice. All players must exit the school within 15 minutes of the end of practice, except for the last practice of the evening where we ask that all players exit the building as quickly as possible as the school supervisor must lock up the school.
•  If a parent is not coming into the gym to pick up their player we ask that players advise the coach how they are getting home. Ex. “My ride is outside.” Or “I’m walking home.”
•  Coaches are not expected to provide rides home.
•  If a player is still waiting for a ride 15 minutes after the end of practice, the coach will contact the President to address the issue with parents.
